We’ve spent more than a century helping people create spaces they love. What started in 1918 as a small purveyor of handmade rugs in Midland Park, New Jersey, has grown into a full-service design studio, to-the-trade resource, and home furnishings destination. Through it all, our values have stayed the same: craftsmanship, integrity, and genuine service.
The Wostbrock Story

The Wostbrock family purchases the original
Brownstone Mill building in Midland Park.
Fred Wostbrock Sr. and his wife, Florence B.
Wostbrock, open their first retail shop as purveyors of
fine handmade rugs.

Fred Wostbrock Jr. expands into custom wall-to-wall
wool carpeting, becoming one of the first broadloom
dealers in the tri-state area.
Wostbrock Home moves to a new location in
Ridgewood, where it still stands today.

Steve leaves banking to join the family business
accompanied by Heidi in 1988.
The business evolves into a comprehensive design destination, introducing curated home furnishings and a full-service interior design studio. Serving both residential and commercial clients—while acting as a resource for the trade—the firm cements its reputation by featuring its work in several high-profile Show Houses.

Jodi, Heidi and Steve’s daughter-in-law, joins the family
business.
With third-generation owners Steve and Heidi
Wostbrock overseeing the showroom and design
studio, Wostbrock Home has grown from a family-
owned operation into a full-fledged team of skilled
designers and interior specialists. Together, they
continue to serve Bergen County and beyond,
delivering refined interiors, to-the-trade support, and a
legacy of unmatched service.

“Our house is gorgeous and filled with warmth. Not only are we grateful for the beautiful home you helped us create but for the love and kindness they showed us along the way.”
